How does the Fraxel laser work?
Fraxel treats damaged and aging skin using microscopic laser columns. This treatment targets a fraction of tissue at a time which allows for quick healing. Fraxel promotes healthy skin cell growth from the inside out.
Where can I get treated with the Fraxel laser?
The Fraxel laser can be used to rejuvenate the face, neck, chest, hands and more! It can also be used to treat scarring on other areas of the body.
When can I see my Fraxel results?
Most patients start seeing results within a week of their treatment and continue to see gradual improvements over the next few months.
What to expect at your Fraxel appointment?
Your provider will first have a consultation with you and determine the best treatment options to meet your aesthetic goals. They will apply numbing cream on the area to make the treatment more comfortable for you. After about 30-45 minutes of numbing, your provider will begin the treatment!
Does the Fraxel treatment hurt?
Most patients say the treatment feels like an increased heat and prickly sensation. The topical numbing cream helps make the treatment more comfortable. We also offer Pronox (similar to laughing gas) to help calm nerves and decrease discomfort.
What to expect after my Fraxel treatment/what are some aftercare instructions?
After your Fraxel treatment, you will experience redness and swelling of the skin. After a few days, you may notice slight peeling and flaking of the skin which is completely normal. Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher and avoid direct sun exposure for 3 months after your treatment.
